5th Gear Promotions

When designing our integrated marketing and communications plan, my team and I acted as a marketing agency, named 5th Gear Promotions. This name represented the five members of our group and the fact that we "kick it into high gear" throughout our work. Here you can see the 5th Gear Promotions logo which I designed for my group using Adobe Illustrator.

Digital Ad

Continuing our campaign, we created ads for various media channels to correspond with our target market of active New England families. Here you can see the digital ad I designed to be viewed on Facebook. This would target the parents and decision makers of the household on a media channel that appealed to their age range. The ad would then drive traffic to the Acadia website when clicked on and be paid for on a pay per click basis with a pre-set daily budget.

T-Shirt Designs

To further promote Acadia and its new brand image, I designed several contests that would engage visitors in the campaign. Through Instagram contests I proposed that Acadia challenge its visitors to capture the best scenic shot or moose sighting in the park. These pictures would be submitted to the park's Instagram and the winner of that month would have their photo posted on the park's page and would win a specially designed t-shirt. Seen here are the t-shirt designs for the winner: the prize for best moose sighting, the prize for the best scenic picture, and lastly two examples of the "Uniquely Maine" t-shirt line that would be available for purchase at the gift shop.

Acadia National Park Logo

My team and I focused the park's branding campaign on Maine's unique outdoorsy culture and various symbols already associated with the state: moose, lobster, blueberries, and its beautiful rocky coast. We created the tagline "Uniquely Maine" as a way to excite visitors about a new type of vacation where they can stay active and become apart of the state's unique culture. Here you can see the logo that I designed for the campaign which was inspired by Acadia's Bass Head Lighthouse and reflects the unique experience provided by Acadia National Park.
